“What? You can’t be serious!” the rigid old man slowly sat upright in his bed and squinted at the person in the corner of his tiny shack
“i’m sorry.. I just can’t.. They’re getting closer each night – She’s slowing me down! " declared the person in the corner. His face was hidden behind a scarf fashioned to act as a mask and his clothes were dark and dirt. A small pale face peered out from behind the man at the surroundings in the shack, fascinated by all the trophies decorating the wooden walls
“but how am i supposed to look after her.. I can barely get out of bed”
“you two can look after each other” the man in the corner had already made up his mind and started moving toward the door “i’m sorry, i’d rather have her live here than die with me” he turned around and hugged the pale little girl, weary from constant travelling. He told her to stay and dissapeared into the early morning air. Nobody ever saw him again
The little girl, roughly 7 years old, had a very strange name that was obviously not from anywhere in godville and as a way to simplify it the old man called her Clone of arc. Every night before bed time the old man would tell her a story about his great adventures throughout godville and each single story was related to one of the trophies on the walls of the rotting shack. Eventually she started adventuring throughout the surrounding countryside, bringing back stories of her own each time.
8 years later, on a rather gloomy day after another one of her adventures, the girl came home to find that the old man had dissapeared. A small note was left on his bed “final quest: raise my granddaughter (finished).. My dear little Clone of arc. my frail old body can no longer exist in this world. I have joined my lord in heaven and leave everything i have to you.. I love you” she quietly sat down and read the note slowly, tears dripping on the note with each passing second. The next morning she packed her bags and set out to find out what happened to her father.
She searched high and low for hours on end before she realised there is more than one tree in godville and decided to give up that method. She made her way to the hub of all mystery itself: unspecifiedistan. She soon figured out the different types of people in the market square. There were beggers, thieves, merchants, traders, awkwardly dressed people with ominous strength, the city guards and the people with normal professions and jobs… She soon realised however that asking random people for info about a man without a name was useless and instead asked for a source of good info. This question was a turning point in her life, in which she was pointed to the nearest tavern…
Nobody except the bartender remembers what happened that night, and he refuses to talk about it even today. She did however find a note in her pocket saying: “find milestone 24”… She pushed through her vicious headache as well as the vicious monsters on the road until she found the place.
A small upright stone beside the road, with a filthy scarf tied around it, was engraved with the words:“here lies a man of mystery. Death by permaban. May it serve as a reminder to all that only the admin can weild magic to manipulate the universe of godville”. She took the scarf and went on her way. Today she follows the footsteps of her grandfather, questing and adventuring throughout godville. She also found out who her grandfather was serving and decided to take over his role as champion of the Ironscalp. The god of baldness and helmets
Meanwhile: Somewhere, always in the shadows, of godville, relentlessly being chased by Godville Administrators. a man with dark clothes and a filthy scarf around his face stands by the side of the road. “i’m sorry my dear, i can’t let you find me” he says while taking a clean scarf from his backpack and tieing the old one around the stone Before resuming his flight from the terrifying creatures. His reason for being chased is unknown even to himself. But some have heard stories of a man that accidently spilt bear on the shirt of an Administrator on his way to meet his girlfriend and got dumped because of the smell
23:02 I heard “Victor from the blue team, leave the arena now and rest, you’ve earned it!” coming from the bushes the next hill over.
