GODVILLE CHRONICLES
MENTAL VISION GAMES LLC PRESENTS THE MIND SHOT PROJECT
The Mind Shot Project, launching in 2024 on iOS, doesn’t need hype from a fan page. Mental Vision Games has done what the mainstream refuses to do for us niche gamers. This isn’t just another puzzle game that you can finish in a few days.
The Mind Shot Project is an all-accessible, first-person shooter, action-packed game. It’s essentially a “Call of Duty Accessibility Bootcamp.” We all have to start somewhere, right?
Sorry for sounding like a commercial, my handy-capable friends. I’m just excited to share the good news. Now that Mental Vision Games is fully staffed and creating every day, I don’t have to worry about the future as much. Thanks to all your support, we may be around for many more seasons.
The Mind Shot Project offers various intuitive controls that cater to visually impaired gamers, also known as Very Important Gamers. These controls rely on gestures like tapping, swiping, and using device features such as tilting and rotating for directional navigation. The game system also utilizes the gyroscope and accelerometer for full immersive control. Below is the complete list of controls and gestures for the game.
MOVING FORWARD
To move the avatar forward, hold one finger down on the screen until the desired distance is covered. Release the finger to stop.
TURNING DIRECTION
Turn the avatar left or right by pointing the top of the device in the desired direction and holding one finger down. If the gyroscope option is deactivated, swipe one finger left or right across the screen. If the gyroscope is enabled, turning can be accomplished by physically rotating the device.
DUCKING OR CROUCHING
Swipe down with two fingers to crouch or duck. When crouched, the avatar cannot move forward but can rotate left or right by swiping.
LAYING DOWN
Perform a two-finger double swipe down to lay the avatar down. While laying down, forward movement is restricted, and turning is only possible when at rest by swiping left or right. The avatar rotates in 90-degree intervals per swipe.
INTERACTING WITH OBJECTS
Double tap the screen with one finger to interact with objects like doors and levers. For items requiring prolonged interaction (e.g., doors with passcode keypads), double tap and hold.
KNOCKING ON DOORS
The avatar must be unarmed to knock on doors. Perform a one-finger triple tap, and a sound confirms the knock.
NAVIGATING MENUS
Navigate through menus by swiping left or right to cycle through options. Double tap to select an option.
SHOOTING WEAPONS
Double tap with one finger to shoot. Tilt the device to aim. Steady your aim by pausing the avatar’s breathing when using the sniper rifle for more accurate shots.
RELOADING WEAPONS
Swipe down with one finger to reload. Some weapons may reload automatically when empty.
TOGGLING THROUGH WEAPONS
Swipe left or right with three fingers to toggle through weapons. Swipe down with one finger to equip a weapon.
THROWING GRENADES
To throw a grenade, swipe with three fingers to find it. Squat by swiping down with two fingers, pull the pin by swiping down with one finger, and double tap and hold to start aiming. Tilt the device to control the throwing distance and release your finger to throw.
CLIMBING UP A ROPE
Double tap with one finger to grab the rope, then alternate swiping left and right to simulate hand-over-hand climbing.
SUPER KO PUNCH
Activate the Super KO Punch by double tapping and holding to engage the strength meter. Lift your finger to release the punch.
STEADY AIM WITH SNIPER RIFLE
Hold two fingers down on the screen to pause the avatar’s breathing for a steadier shot. Double tap with one finger to fire.
SUPER EAR SPOTTER
Swipe right with two fingers to activate the Super Ear feature, which enhances the avatar’s hearing. Swipe again to deactivate it.
PLACING PLASTIC EXPLOSIVES
Equip the C4, then double tap and hold to place it. The avatar automatically equips the remote detonator. Double tap when ready to detonate.
ENVIRONMENTAL AUDIO CUES
Audio cues help guide players throughout the game, including footsteps on various surfaces, ambient sounds, enemy movements, and gunfire.

ACCESSIBILITY GUIDE FOR GODVILLE
Godville is a unique game offering a fun experience for visually impaired gamers, thanks to its accessibility features. This guide will help new players navigate the game’s interface and provide tips on how to enjoy the game as much as sighted players.
STARTING OUT
For the first eight to ten weeks of playing Godville, you won’t need to do much unless you head to the Arena to gather golden bricks for your temple. You’ll face a lot of losses at first, but that’s part of the fun. You won’t even notice the option to buy charges for God Power until later.
DUNGEON NAVIGATION
After building your temple, you’ll gain access to the dungeons. At first, navigating the dungeon can be confusing, especially for visually impaired players. The map is labeled for VoiceOver, but it can be tricky to navigate.
RECOMMENDATION FOR SUCCESS
When entering a dungeon, use your voice command to type a phrase like, “I’m visually impaired and unable to navigate. Can someone help me be successful?” It’s important to listen to the travel message board and see who is active in the dungeon. You can then add these players as friends to improve your chances of success in future dungeon runs.
JOINING A GUILD
Joining a guild with active members will help ensure success. Some guilds post their plans to run dungeons, which allows guildmates to work together.
USING TICKETS AND GOLD
When in Godville town, use your KYm ticket or activate your dig-up boss monster ticket after completing a dungeon. This process allows you to gain experience by spending more than 10,000 gold on XP.
BUILDING YOUR ARK
Collecting logs for your ark can take time. You can gather logs in various ways: completing epic quests, side jobs, dungeon runs, or even fishing. The rarest method is winning arena matches, which can also reward you with golden bricks.
VOICE COMMANDS IN GODVILLE
Here are some useful voice commands to enhance your gaming experience:
- Travel: “Go to [town]”
- Fight: “Attack,” “Strike,” “Defend”
- Bosses: Use regular fight commands, but be cautious of boss abilities.
- In dungeons: “Go north,” “Go south,” etc.
CONCLUSION
This guide provides basic tips to get you started in Godville as a visually impaired player. With practice and patience, you’ll be navigating the game like a pro. Happy hunting!
Very Respectfully,
J.F. Quirk III
